I spent months creating a fictional 1967 Liverpool psychedelic band. I'd genuinely love some honest feedback.
Hi everyone!
I've been working on a personal project called The Pretty Days.
Instead of releasing random songs, I wanted to build an entire fictional universe around a British psychedelic band from Liverpool in the summer of 1967.
Every song has its own artwork, lyrics, story and visual identity, as if the records had actually been released by a fictional label called Silver Lantern Records LTD.
The debut album is called Paper Skies, and the songs are connected by recurring characters and places that slowly build a larger story.
I'm not really looking for promotion—I genuinely want honest opinions.
Does the music feel cohesive?
Do the visuals make the project more immersive?
Is there anything that breaks the illusion?
I'd really appreciate any constructive criticism, whether it's positive or negative. I'm trying to make this project better with every release.

I'm hoping people will judge it as an album, not just as a collection of songs.
Thanks for taking the time to listen!
P.S: If you only have time to listen to one track, which one would you choose after looking at the artwork? And after listening, did it live up to the cover?
