Post op wisdom tooth extraction pain, should I be worried?
I had 4 extractions on April 22nd and apparently I was the once in their 10+ career case. It took almost 4 hours for all 4 except the roots of 2 of them. Healing was going well except moderate pressure on the right side would cause pain above my molars 4 weeks out like I was pressing on nerves so eating still isn’t as fun as it should be. It was pretty bad today (still manageable) and I went in for a follow up. They took xrays and saw something weird with fragments or the root moving so they went in on the upper right side. Managed to completely get the large roots out and they mentioned they could see a small hole into my sinuses that they closed and filled with medicine. After about 40 minutes they finally closed me up prescribed oxy and ibuprofen. It’s been almost few hours and I took the oxy 30 minutes after the procedure but I’m in A LOT of pain above the molars now, not the site they opened itself. The pain is enough that I cannot rest. Almost reminds me of when I got an abscess.
What do I do?
