Equinox EV stops charging with “Unable to charge. Try a different cord” — car or home charger?
I bought my Equinox EV AWD LT1 and home wall charger in March this year. The charger was professionally installed inside my garage, and I haven’t had any charging issues until now.
Today, the car starts charging but stops after a while and displays: “Unable to charge. Try a different cord.” The OnStar app hasn’t shown anything helpful. I reset my breaker to try again, but got the same results.
I tried calling the EV Concierge, but they’re closed for the weekend. Has anyone run into this? Is it more likely to be an issue with the car or the charger? Can EV Concierge usually help troubleshoot over the phone, or should I expect a back-and-forth with the dealership?
