27 August ~ Spoke with Curaleaf today, it's confirmed, the chambers were filled with mostly distillate, terps were added and they mixed in a very small amount of rosin (less than 5% i was told). Everything was pulled from the stores.

In my storage for a few months, today was a good day to crack this one open - IO Extracts Za-Tiva Rain live resin sugar. This batch is a mix of Za-Tiva and Apple Rain. Grower/Cultivator is Arizona Golden Leaf Wellness, which operates under the brand name High Grade! Different forms of "Za-Tiva blends or variations depend heavily on the specific cultivator. This one is a large-scale blend of 10 separate flash frozen harvests taken between November 2025 and February 2026.

You can always check the exact breeder's certificate of analysis or label details, anyway, absolutely love it. Candied citrus slaps you upfront with the old school pine undertone that bridges the gap between new sativas with the "Z" candy profiles. It smells loud, clean, and surprisingly complex for the price point.

When I see a live resin in a sugar, I'm automatically drawn to it. IO's is a thick, wet, glistening, pool of terps. This one is a perfect consistency for dabs.

Was reading a review of Phenopolitan live resin it sounded pretty good, and I had credits at Trulieve so i grabbed this. Went up and down on the temp and it wasn't tasting the same to me as the reviewer described, so I looked up the COA and it appears not to be the single strain Pheno-Nation, it's a mix of GS's Jelly Runtz and Pheno Nation... which might be why it's called "Phenopolitan"? IDK, it's a very tasty mix.

Expect something in the sweet fruity-candy + citrus/floral + light gas range rather than a pure single-strain expression. Looking forward to Grow Sciences balancing their offering a bit better with some good dab resin/rosin again.

First, the reason I'm reviewing the brand is because A... I'm really digging Curaleaf right now as my old go-to Trulieve Scottsdale has shit the bed, and B, Sol's Uncle X can't be the only budget hash to be found in the valley or state worth having in the rotation. I volunteered to be the guinea pig and picked up a gram of their LA Graffiti Fumez live badder to see if this brand is worth adding to the library. Now, I already know I really like the Fumez lineage (the candy-gas profile hits perfectly for me), so I was hyped to see how Grassroots handled these elite genetics. For those wondering about the background, the "Fumez" backbone usually comes from crossing Zkittlez with Sherbanger. You're getting the insane tropical candy sweetness from the Zkittlez side, but it's heavily backed up by the gassy diesel structure of Sherbanger (which brings in Gelato, OG Kush, and Headbanger heritage). Grassroots paired that heavy-hitting Fumez chassis with their sativa. Here is my completely honest, opinion first sight to final exhale:

First Impressions & Visuals (The Sight)

I didn't know what to expect. Honestly? Visually, it slaps. It’s got a beautiful, light golden-yellow hue that was processed on the sauce side of a badder vs the heavy whip. I had it in the fridge and it's just right. The consistency is perfect—super easy to scoop with any tool with no mess.

The Nose (The Smell)

Right when you crack the seal, you definitely get a wave of chemical gas and diesel. Once that initial punch settles, there’s a sweet, funky undertone underneath—almost like overripe fruit mixed with industrial rubber. Because I'm already a huge fan of Fumez terps, this nose immediately put a smile on my face.

The Melt & Vapor

I dropped a nice-sized scoop (see pic) into the rig at 400 to test the purity. It melts down incredibly clean into a light amber puddle. No weird dark residue or plant material left over, which is a massive relief for a brand I've never tried. The vapor is thick, milky, and surprisingly smooth.

The Flavor (Inhale to Exhale) Inhale: Right off the bat, it's all sharp, pungent diesel and fuel. It has a heavy, expansive feeling in the lungs immediately. Exhale: This is where it surprised me. The gassy note melts away on the exhale into a sweet and sour fruit flavor that "literally'' had me wanting more. Look at the terp sheet, it's crazy loaded with Limonene!

The Effects: Potency is definitely there. Within two minutes of the exhale, I felt a head-rush and a 'sativa' pressure right behind the eyes (as expected). It's incredibly uplifting, cerebral, and clear-headed. Perfect for any time of the day.

In my usual format here's the Final Verdict: My first time trying Grassroots, I'm impressed, they have a tasty one here. If you already love the Fumez strain like I do, or if you have been waiting on a reason to try Grassroots, this LA Graffiti Fumez is definitely approved for the rotation. Also have a cured product I'll try tomorrow.

IO Extract's Litre-A-Cola ~ GG4 x Magnum Opus, is an indica dominant hybrid that has a very unique flavor profile and balances the two distinct sides: Named appropriately, it tastes and smells like lemon-lime with a dash of cherry Coke! It's rather delicious!

The main reason I'm posting this is to talk about this specific live resin stability. Even though this was manufactured on February 6, 2026, I bought it a month ago and just started it today... it hits like it was jarred yesterday.The flavor and potency hold up incredibly well if stored properly. I kept mine sealed tight in the fridge. The terpene content (nearly 7%,, look at the top 3) hasn't degraded or separated at all. The nose still hits with that sharp, nostalgic fruity fizzy cola vibe. While it does give a brief, pleasant burst of uplifting euphoria right when you first hit it, the overall experience quickly settles into a heavy body high... not tired but very relaxed.

If you see this batch on sale at your local dispensary, don't hesitate. As long as it isn't sitting under hot display lights and is chilled, this resin was built to last., straight fire.

Rating: 9/10 for excellent taste, smell, high, stability over time, last but not least... price..

Chemdawg x Biscotti ~ The inhale is fried dough (sopapilla-aoma) and the exhale is straight up oily herbal funk.

I tried 22Red's LHR Eggroll and it was horrible, absolute trash, idk what they were thinking. That experience kept me away from the strain, until I spoke with the Uncle X guy today who suggested I try theirs.

Needless to say after the rep directed me to that one strain, Uncle's Eggroll slaps and tastes great! The batch tastes and smells remarkably like a deep fried sopapilla smothered in honey. Since I tore the QR Code off the box, I can't access the lab particulars, with terps at 7% and the number one terp is Limonene, I had to give it another go, figured 22Red made a huge mistake in their grow/processing... and I was right.

Great quality and price for a really good cured sugar (20 bones for 2 g jar) and a new addition to my strain rotation and terp catalogue!

Flower sourced by Verdant ~ The strain was originally bred as Blockberry by crossing Tropicana Cookies and Black Cherry Punch. SuperBoof is essentially the same thing with one exception, the "Super Boof" Cut was named after one standout Blockberry plant with exceptional traits, and they named that specific cut's genetics, Super Boof.

Super Boof eclipsed the original Blockberry simply through everyone wanting that one specific plant's seeds.

Anyways this one's really good, and IO did this cured sugar right. Definitely one of the top 5 strains for me!

The Breakdown ~ The Okashi strain by LunchBox is a phenotype rooted in Crunchberries, which is a cross between blueberry and triple OG. I've read mixed reviews on their ''caviar" lineup, here's mine for Okashi, It's clean, fresh, typical live rosin. At current discounts it's more than fairly priced.

The Nose / Opening the Jar (7.5/10):
Pop the seal and you aren't hit with anything sharp. Okashi meaning candy/sweet in Japanese (had to look that up), there’s a berry cereal, slight mango taste, rounded out by that typical dessert doughy, backend. It’s definitely unique and stands out from the standard GMO crosses saturating the market right now.

The Flavor / Low-Temp Dab (8/10):
The low temp translation is where you get that sweet candy milk and berry hit on the inhale. On the exhale, an earthy doughy fuel coats the tongue. Mild throat tingle on the inhale (8.6% terps is the culprit).

The Effects (8.5/10):
Classic balanced hybrid experience. It doesn't glue you straight to the couch, but it melts away tension immediately. Peak duration is about an hour and a half of a decent buzz before tapering off.
