Who needs a backplate?

So. I kept having issues of games crashing,
And didn’t realize how hot my device was. So I took the backplate off and I’ve got my legion Go in one of those bendy arm phone mounts directly under the air conditioner. Haven’t crashed since. Also I put my own heat sync on the NVME and that’s seemed to help as well.

Finally. Rufus. Registry Editor. Google AI….. And TIME

After about three days straight, I have finally got a true Oculink set up with the Legion go. I have my operating system running on an external 2280 NVME in an enclosure, and the M.2 adapter to Oculink.

I had to change several things with the registry editor. Disable Bitlocker. Fresh install windows OS with Rufus.

External NVME Boot help

Has anyone gotten their legion go to boot from an external NVME? I really need help with this. I cannot get it to work.
I’m trying to use oculink but can’t since I can’t get my NVME to boot OS externally.

External NVME cloning and booting questions

So my set up is a legion go Acculink to Acculink connection. I clobed my drive with marcium but for some reason I’m getting an error an inaccessible boot error when I try to boot from the external and VME. I’ve tried punching and registry edits, etc., but I can’t figure it out. If anybody has successfully cloned their NVE to get it to work externally while using the M.2 adapter for Link please let me know how you did it and how I can get it done. Thank you.

Legion go. GDOCK. 3060ti.

Fan mods?

Okay ladies and gentleman. Thermals have become an issue lately as I’ve been pushing this thing to its limits. I’m interested in trying some heat sink mods, and potentially adding a second fan. Just curious if anyone’s done this in here, I would really love to see what for fans you used, and material for the heat sink. If I can get away with upgrading the fan and adding a new heat sink plate I think I’d be able to really enjoy this thing without sitting it in front of the AC. Any info is welcome. Thanks guys

Wait. I’m actually impressed…..

I’ve been to roughly enjoying the legion go lately. Finding myself playing more and more titles with this small device. It’s docked to a 1080p monitor. Settings are minimum, and I’m unsure what my adrenaline is set to but this is playable in my book. 1289x720 native on a 1080p monitor. Set to min in game graphics settings. I tried to add a video but it won’t let me on here. It’s running pretty smooth.
