Ombú, Spanish word of the day

Ombú, el árbol de la bella sombra, a veces llamado de esa forma, bellasombra, es un árbol nativo de América del sur y la palabra del día de hoy. Proviene del nombre Guaraní usado para el árbol.

Ombú, the tree of the beautiful shadow, sometimes called that way, beautifulshadow, is a tree native of South America and today's spanish word of the day. It comes from the Guaraní name for the tree.

So today I learned that the same paper weight but different grain means your ink can drain into the paper ruining any attempt of doing thin lines

I bought a little A5 block to keep calligraphying when traveling because I travel a lot for my job. I bought one with the same weight and from the same brand I normally use, but damnit! I bought medium grain instead of thin grain and the ink drains and stains and has these little "hairs" coming out whenever I draw a thin line. Is there any way to solve this? Maybe some pretreatment I can do over de paper or something? I don't know I feel like I wasted my money

The word is supposed to be "Torcho" the spanish word of the day meaning "iron lingot"

Feliz Día Mundial de la Caligrafía y de los Zurdos (a quienes hacer caligrafía sin manchar se les dificulta)

I'm a little bit late, but nonetheless I fell very happy with the results, my hand was shaking in the last lines and I'm not convinced with the Capital F but overall I think it is good.

English translation:

Happy World Calligraphy Day and Left-Handers' Day (for whom doing calligraphy without smudging is a challenge).

I think I'm going to gift this one to a left-handed friend who was a little jealous that I remembered calligraphy day instead of left-handers' day.

Kárstico (Spanish word of the day)

A word starting with K is unusual in Spanish, this term comes from language german and it is a geological name to design a limestone formation produced by the erosive or dissolving action of water.

It's looking pretty dece... God damnit I missed an A!

I was pretty satisfied with this one thinking "well, I have to work a little bit in keeping a consistent kerning between O and F and making the O's round and similar but overall it is decent enough" and then I saw it! I don't even know how but I missed an entire letter A in the fourth row!

"Hoy no fío, mañana tampoco" (I don't give credit today, neither tomorrow). Is a common twist of the usual Spanish saying "Hoy no fío, mañana sí" (I don't give credit today, tomorrow yes) that is common to see in convenience stores. Though both convey the same meaning this one is more direct and less "interpretative" (also a little less poetic but I prefer it).

Quejadera, spanish word of the day

Man it is really hard to keep a consistent size and straight rows without guides.

Quejadera: queja reiterada. (repetitive complaint)

First try after about 1 year of not writing

I lost my parallel penlight about a year ago and I wasn't able to get a new one until yesterday, when I got the six available sizes! But... Yeah, a year of not practicing does show, painfully show. Recommendations to improve?

The word is Chiclear by the way, which is the Spanish word of the day and means: "to exploit the gum of the chicazapote tree"

¿Como se espera que evolucione nuestra política de frontera y aranceles con Colombia ahora que ganó Abelardo de la Espriella?

Este candidato de (bastante) derecha ganó las elecciones en Colombia. Cómo se espera que se relacione con Noboa? ¿Serán más diplomáticas nuestras relaciones con Colombia porque los dos presidentes comparten espectro o serán más antagónicas porque ambos tienen que sostener la imagen de "un líder fuerte que pone los intereses de su nación por encima de todo lo demás"?
