I’m ready for Hope, Deke and Zende to join Logan. So tired of hearing Hope complain about Steffy and Zende needs some shine and a storyline. I know the writing is on the wall, but chop chop!
I’ve seen this discussion before and so many people didn’t see it. This video shows it so clearly and the OP on Instagram did a great breakdown of why she thinks Shane did it. Some people thought he might have been cruising, but Shane wouldn’t be versed enough in gay culture to know what the wink meant.
Part of me wants to think Shane was being flirtatious and winking in response to Ilya’s earlier wink at the gym. In the books he jerked off after that he was so worked up. It’s possible he wanted to give Ilya even a subtle invitation into flirting. But honestly, I think he was just being himself and participating in friendly competition with Ilya. Shane also winked to himself in the locker room when he told the guys that talking about the fans burning Ilya in effigy outside the stadium doesn’t help him focus. I think he just did it for emphasis. I can’t think of any other time that Shane winked like that. Ilya did in the bathroom scene when he said he’d “maybe, maybe do more than just…”Shane. I’m rambling.
