I compared my GCSE Maths predicted paper with the real 2026 paper – 7 of 22 topics/skills overlapped
I compared my GCSE Maths predicted paper with the real GCSE Maths 2026 paper after the exam.
Obviously nobody can predict the exact questions, but I was interested to see how many topics and skills overlapped.
The following topics appeared in both my predicted paper and the real exam:
• Compound Interest
• Standard Form
• Bounds & Error Intervals
• Box Plots
• Algebraic Fractions
• Vectors
• Functions
That worked out to 7 of the 22 questions on the paper involving topics or skills that students had already practised in the predicted paper.
I've put together some side-by-side comparisons and was genuinely pleased with how closely some of the topics matched.
For teachers and students: how many matches would you consider a successful prediction for a GCSE Maths paper?

Got this comment today from someone who stumbled across the stream last night. Made my day honestly.
