Hi all,
I’ve been booked in for an induction next week at 39.5 weeks for medical reasons.

Very little was explained to me. Please can somebody explain simply what the process is, any positive induction stories are very welcome.

Will a sweep or cervical check be performed before the induction? I thought I might get one before they went down the route of induction but nope.

I’m a private patient in CUMH if that makes any difference. Thank you

Has anybody had success with a sweep at 38 plus 3/4 days.
It looks like for medical reasons I’ll have to be induced before 40 weeks most likely at 39 weeks or just before 40 weeks.

I’m hoping the sweep might help me avoid having an induction. Best case scenario I’ll go into labour naturally but I know that’s not always how it goes. Currently 37weeks 3 days.
