Anyone else built an AI agent at work and then thought “absolutely fucking not”?

I work in ops, not engineering. Got an agent working, felt like a genius for about an hour, then looked at what I’d given it access to and switched it off.

My own stuff? Recoverable. Company data? Explaining to the CEO that “it worked when I tested it” doesn’t feel like a great career move.

So, fellow non-devs building automations at work: what have you actually let loose?

Not the demo. The thing running on a Tuesday when you’re in meetings and nobody’s watching it.

What does it do, and what happened when you stopped babysitting it? Still saving you time, quietly retired, or congratulations, you now have a second job maintaining it?

Success stories welcome too. Mostly want to know how you got from “holy shit, it works” to “I can go on holiday.”
