I'm a complete amateur and I’m DIY replacing an American Standard Reliant 3, 7585 series faucet on a bathroom sink.

Had a lot of difficulty at removing the lines from the old faucet while lying on my back.

The sink is now upside down on the top of the cabinet. Everything's been removed. And I'm staring at the old drain and the holes in the sink to where the new faucet is going to go. That new faucet has the lines preattached so only the big plastic wing nuts holding the faucet to the sink need to be put in.

That would still be easier to do with the sink upside down.

I can leave the old drain on the sink or replace with the parts that came with the new faucet.

Can I install everything with the sink upside down?

which would certainly be a lot easier than lying on my back. in a tiny little sink cabinet, trying to make all the attachments. And then flip the sink over and then just connect the lines and thread in the vertical drain piece. I'm sure I'm using the wrong terminology.

Appreciate any suggestions. I'm a complete amateur. I'm a bit old, so, working underneath the sink is not easy. I have a lot of tools. And a big desire to finish this. Thanks in advance any advice.
