Note that the site is in Japanese.

There is a lot of info here. Interesting thing is that when they got the game, it was NOT in playable form and they have had to rebuild a lot of it. They are also planning new story content.

So they plan to launch with 31 heroes and release a new one every 2 weeks thereafter. There are 102 heroes. At that rate, it will take over 140 weeks, which is more than 2 years, to release all the heroes. It will not be a gacha for characters, it will be based on building affinity in the tavern instead.

They are mostly done with the game, he said, and finishing up the cutscenes and voice acting will be done in October. As for launch date? He said he doesn't know.

Very cool to get more info on this.

LF Advice: How to balance low karma filter with in-house "brigading"?

Here's a fun brain teaser for your Friday afternoon moderator brains. Apparently I need to say Desktop or Android in order to post.

We have a filter for low sub karma on our sub, which is a good thing to have! The bots are stopped, the people making alts to keep making arguments that they already lost are stopped, and a lot of clueless posts that are not topical can be caught and the posters redirected to the proper place. So far, so good.

The trouble is that in this sub, there are a number of "tribes" who will consistently downvote any comments or posts that go against their particular "Golden Calf", and this leads to an unhappy situation where a user who doesn't engage much gets downvoted pretty badly for perfectly reasonable comments, just due to tribalism. So when they try to make a new post later, sharing some news or an interesting article etc. then they get filtered. A mod will eventually get around to approving their posts, but it might be hours until that can happen.

Now, because the sizes of the "tribes" are inequal, this means some are more likely to get downvoted than others. It wouldn't be so bad except that everyone is so upset at each other all the time, so they are constantly arguing over who is worse, and the votes fly. So what happens is posts about the topics that Tribe A and Tribe B like sail right through, and show up immediately, but posts about topics that Tribe C and Tribe D like get filtered, because they are less popular. It's not one that we set out to create, but it's a de facto content bias now. Yikes!

So, we are absolutely not turning off the low karma filter. But I wonder if any of you have good ideas to try, or other approaches to consider. Cheers,
