3 - 4% drawdown

Hey. Interested to know how anyone who has followed this rule of thumb for like 10 years has got on.

Say...

stating point iro 1m of cash / pensions in 2016

Drawing 30 - 40k pa

No esoteric investments. Just a routine 70/30 or 60/40 that you have overseen yourself

Periodic discretionary spends of holidays, car, gifts to kids etc. amounting to say 100k over the 10 years

How has your capital held up?

How close to retaining your 1m have you got?

Ballpark figures absolutely fine!

Wil appreciate any real life examples

Thanks y'all

"can you *feel* the implant?"

Hello

10 months posterior THR. All gone like a dream so very grateful for that. One question....when I lay on my op side (on a hard surface like gym floor / mat ) it feels like I'm lying on the implant as it smarts a little. Almost like it's protruding and pressing on my skin IYSWIM?

Not a Biggie at all ! ...but a weird sensation nonetheless

Any comments on this?

Insolvent employer England - help please!

Hi. The owner of my daughters employer (Ltd company) has done a runner about 6 months ago. She is owed wages and the business also has some significant debtors (other Ltd companies) she was employed for about 2 years (pretty much minimum wage salary)

There appears to have been no insolvency practitioner appointed by the owner. So everyone is in limbo

My questions are

  1. will he be legally forced to appoint an IP?

  2. if not how might my daughter claim her unpaid wages?

Many thanks for any pointers

Kneecap pain 8 months later....

Hey. THR posterior and recovery has gone brilliantly. However 8 months in my kneecap (non operative side) now hurts when I go upstairs. No injury or impact just presented after a bike ride and 3 weeks later still hurting. Any ideas as starting to worry me. Thanks

Knee pain non surgery side

Hi, 56 yo male. Had posterior THR 7 months ago and it's gone like a dream. Got back to sensible daily walking after 2 months and took up casual biking after 3 months. I've started to get pain in my knee (non surgery side) when going downstairs or bending. My hunch is that cycling has strained my knee. My dread is it could be the start of OA in my knee. But maybe post surgery gait compensation etc? if anyone has any thoughts will be grateful. Thanks

Thanks

Helmets

Hello y'all

Are economy price helmets okay? (I'm a casual MTB rider)

Or is it the You get what you pay for and you shouldn't go cheap on your helmets?!
