I didn’t realize how much random stuff dog owners mentally keep track of until I got a dog

I swear owning a dog slowly turns you into a detective.

You start noticing weirdly specific things like:
“wait… did he always do that after eating that brand?”
or
“why do I suddenly remember the exact day he started acting dramatic?”

At some point I realized I had:

  • random notes in my phone
  • screenshots
  • dog photos for “reference”
  • reminders I never looked at again

So I ended up making a little app for myself to organize everything in one place.

Mostly routines, notes, habits, reminders, timelines, food stuff, etc.

It somehow turned into a real app called Puplytics which is honestly funny because a few weeks ago I barely knew anything about making apps.

Now I’m sitting here learning App Store rules and arguing with subscription bugs at midnight.

Anyway I’m curious if other dog owners also slowly become unhinged organizationally once they get attached to their dog lol

A month ago I had basically zero coding experience.

A month ago I had basically zero coding experience.

Today I somehow have a real app on the App Store after surviving around 10 Apple rejections lol.

The app is called Puplytics:
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/puplytics/id6767871361

It’s an AI-powered dog wellness tracking app where users can:
• track stool quality
• compare food vs symptoms
• generate vet reports
• log health trends
• use AI wellness chat
• track sleep, mood, and digestion patterns

This entire thing started because my dog kept having digestive problems and I got tired of trying to remember everything during vet visits.

So I just started building.

The last few weeks have basically been nonstop learning:
• React Native
• Expo
• App Store Connect
• subscriptions
• backend deployment
• AI APIs
• debugging production crashes
• Apple compliance rules

Honestly would love feedback from people who’ve launched apps before or anyone willing to test it out.

I know there’s still a ton to improve.

I just launched my first ever app after about 3 weeks of full-on vibe coding with basically no prior app development experience 😭
