Hello, friends!

I saw lot of members/players having trouble about getting and keeping gems and I decided to help you with some tips I found out. Also if you know some tips put it on comments so all players can take advantage. I wish I had read a text like this when I started playing

1. TIME: do not skip time on missions, shops and pony tasks. Most of them have unlimited time to complete, so if you spent gems with this you will not just lost gems, but you will antecipate the game and get "nothing-to-do" earlier.

2. PONIES: before buying with gems a pony, make sure it will help you with something. I intent making a text about "how to choose a pony" in the future, but for now what you have to see if it helps you on some event or group mission(that golden hat icon)

3. EVENTS: Always try to complete events, and if you can, buy some character to help you( one is enough). Most part of the events gives as reward shops and characters, but when the events repeat (and it is more common than you new players think) the reward for each step can be up to 30 gems.

4. GROUP MISSIONS: Some ponies on group missions give as rewards up to 8 gems! You don't need to put all of your ponies in the same group mission, because it will help you only to get the better chest, and normally in the greatest chests (after getting all the ponies and shops) are the same decorations (and unsightly decorations in my not-so-humble opinion). Try to finish most group missions as possible. I also intent making a text about "how to get better rewards on group missions", but this will be a short one.

5. SAVE GEMS: before spending it, think: "will it be useful for me?". For you who is starting now the game, I'm sure you DO have more important ponies to buy. Example: Prince Rutherford (2000 gems) and the only "useful" thing he does is "find a cristal coin"

6. GEM SHOPS: try with your body, soul and souls of your ancestors( kidding) to get this gems shops. There are plenty of these that are reward from events or missions. I have 11 of them and never bought one with real money

7. LEVELLING: levelling gives me (an 10 years player) less than 20 gems, so it is not the best way to get gems, but is valid. After unlocking all the cities I don't think you should worry about level, it is useless.

8. REMOVING PARASPRITES/BATS/CHANGELINGS: Removing Parasprites (Ponyville), Bats (Apple Acres), Changelings (Canterlot), Vineyard(Everfree) and Corruption (Crystal Empire) has a "not-so-little" chance to give you a gem. Is cheap and you can get off this things everyday.

9. DERPY/ SPY SPIKE: the pony on the box works like the things cited on item 8 of this list. It has a chance to give you a gem, but you can take it just once in a period (8 hours I guess). The Spy Spike appears every great update, but gives at least 15 gems.

10. ECONOMIZE: before buying something, see if it would be useful to you to get something you want( oh how I wish someone had told me this before the changeling kingdom event, I would not have to buy methamorfosed Thorax).

11. TAP TAP TAP: The ponies, decorations and harmony stones have a small chance of giving you a gem, I mean, REALLY SMALL CHANCE. Not official data, but I would bet around 1/250. I already expanded all my ponyville. I wouldn't recommend to spend shards like there's no tomorrow if you still haven't finished it yet. But it is important to say it here
