Now that we've all had 24 hours to sit, reflect, cry, drink or whatever you do to deal with the pain, this is an opportunity to reflect on the tournament without the need of separate posts for each opinion.

We'll continue with our daily WC threads throughout the rest of the tournament, mainly to torture us on what could have been but also so we can continue to discuss and enjoy the pinnacle of the sport we love.

Ingredients (12)

• 1 tbsp olive oil
• 1 large brown onion, finely chopped
• 500g Coles 5 Star Extra Lean Beef Mince
• 1 tbsp Coles Cornflour
• 3/4 cup beef stock
• 3/4 cup tomato sauce
• 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
• 1 tbsp barbecue sauce
• 1 tsp Vegemite
• 2 sheets frozen shortcrust pastry, thawed
• 2 sheets frozen puff pastry, thawed
• 1 egg, beaten

Heat oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Add onion. Cook for 3 minutes or until soft. Add mince. Cook for 8-10 minutes, stirring with a wooden spoon, or until browned.

Mix cornflour and 1 tablespoon of stock to form a paste. Add remaining stock, Tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce and Vegemite to mince. Bring to the boil. Reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer for 8 minutes or until thick. Cool.

Preheat oven to 220°C. Place a baking tray into oven. Grease 4 x 8cm base measurement pie pans.

Cut 4 x 15cm circles from shortcrust pastry. Use to line bases and sides of pans. Fill with mince. Brush rims with water. Cut 4 x 15cm circles from puff pastry. Place over meat. Press to seal. Trim. Brush with egg. Season.

Place pies onto hot tray. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden. Serve.

In the latest twist in the saga of the embattled club, WMG Holdings went into receivership this week under the control of firm Alvarez and Marsal, on behalf of project partner Johnson Controls.

Sources close to the club, speaking on condition of anonymity to share details of private conversations, said by taking control out of Sourasis’ hands, the receivership could ultimately help save the club and precinct project, which already has $80 million committed by financial backers. It would also allow new governance structures to be implemented to address delivery issue

A source close to the situation said potential suitors had approached WMG Holdings to take ownership of the club.

Yet another A-League Men's season comes to its end but we still have one more game left to go to decide who are the Champions of Australia ^(and New Zealand).

Newcastle may have taken the Premiership in the second last week of the season thanks to Central Coast Mariners pulling off a smash and grab against finalists Auckland but both the premiers and runners up are out of the race and we have our first ever Trans-Tasman ALM Grand Final.

Auckland FC followed up a successful debut season under Steve Corcia who lead the Black Knights to the semi-finals last season and has already done one better by reaching the grand final, knocking out Melbourne City and Adelaide United along the way. Auckland will have a sold-out crowd backing their shade of blue tonight. Golden Boot winner Sam Cosgrove will be looking to make his mark early with half his goals being the first blood of a match.

Sydney FC will be looking to get their 6th Championship under their belt to continue being the most successful club in the A-League under new management with Patrick Kisnorbo taking the reigns in March after Ufuk Talay "left" the club. Sydney knocked out Melbourne Victory and the premiers Newcastle Jets through penalties. Goalkeeper Harrison Devenish-Meares has stepped up big time this season, taking the Golden Gloves while saving two penalties in the shootout against the Jets. This might be one of their toughest challenges ever as they are yet to defeat Auckland in 6 matches. (4D, 2L).
