493 MCAT Scorer

Hi everyone!

I feel like I’ve reached rock bottom, and somehow am digging deeper... I’ve taken the MCAT 3 times, and I’ve consistently gotten 493 scores every time. The time difference between my first and third MCAT was a year, and I have been studying consistently. I don’t even know if it’s realistic for me to improve at this point.

I’m reaching out because this is my Hail Mary attempt. I want to take the MCAT one more time and then decide after the score. I’m a first-generation college student, and I went to the best college in my state. I will mention that my high school education wasn’t the best, so I did struggle in college, but I’m not complaining because I learned a lot, and I was fortunate to go to that school. That being said, it takes me more time than the average person to learn something.

I need help. I need someone to hold my hand and help me understand the steps I need to take to truly understand and apply the content and score well. Honestly, I want to apply next cycle, so I really want to have a solid, realistic plan that will help someone like me.

In the past, I have tried UWorld (I will say I didn’t complete all the questions, and idk if I was using it correctly). I’ve done the AAMC Q-banks and Section Banks. I had Blueprint for a month or two, and it was confusing... lots of content videos, but they didn’t match the written paper notes, idk, very strange). I've tried Anki as well but again it was confusing and lowkey my laptop overheated at the sight of it LOL. I am willing to consider any resource (again).

I appreciate all tips and helpful links/resources.

Thank you :)
