Canada's CBC bans Kars 4 Kids Ads on the heel of the California ban

On the heels of the California Kars 4 Kids ad ban, Canada's public broadcaster CBC has now dropped the Canadian version Kars4Kids.ca due to their deceptive practices. Hopefully other broadcasters will follow suit!

WBT 1110 to shut down for good and sell the land under it's towers

News out today that both the 610 and 1110 frequencies in Charlotte will go off the air for good. No new format for either signal, the land under the towers will be sold as it is worth much more than either radio frequency.

Looks like AM radio in the U.S. is dying out just as it has in the rest of the world. I think this may be the first case of a clear channel 50Kw station going dark though.
