Avis sur paraboot

Hello everyone,

There is a paraboot store in the suburbs of grenoble. I think it's a local shoe brand with years of experience but it's very expensive (or less affordable).

Are you familiar with the brand ? And the store they have ?

I believe on the local shop they mainly sell old models or ones with minor issues for (perhaps) a lower price.

Could you inform me about the price and quality ? I wanna know if it's worth it to check them out.

I'm interested in getting "dr martens" like leather boots or mountain/hiking shoes.

Thank you

Recherche de Cours de dessin

Hello people of reddit,

I'm (24m) looking for drawing courses for beginners. I checked very quickly and most of them are either for children or very expensive.

I'm work a 9 to 5 so i would be nice if it doesn't overlap with working hours. I'm interested in "technical" drawing. So perspective, sceneries, proportions, shading. I had some courses long time ago but I'm a beginner basically.

I had a bidger of 300€ for the year but maybe my budget is too low.

If anyone has any good recommendations, I'm willing to take it

Why aren't there iems with anc

Perhaps this is a stupid question. But one main issue with anc is that they drain the battery. So it seems heaving wired earphones could be a good solution as they are constantly draining power from your device which in most cases has a larger power source.

Maybe it's too much power for a regular phone to provide. Wouldn't there be a workaround that ? Like a power adapter or something?

Am I missing something?

Looking for a monitor for productivity + gaming (France)

Hi guys,

I'm shopping for a new monitor and would love to hear what worked for people with a similar use case. Here's what mine looks like:

Most of the time it would be used for programming (vscode, terminal), consuming content (Youtube, Netflix... etc) and playing story games (e33, it takes two... etc)

What I'm leaning toward so far:

  • 27", either 1440p or 1080p
  • Curved, tempted, but not sure it's actually worth it for my use case
  • Ultrawide, looks amazing, but the price bump is hard to justify
  • Mini-LED, interested for the better color/contrast, especially for movies and games

A few questions for the sub:

  1. If your case is similar, what did you end up buying, and are you happy with it?
  2. Curved vs. flat for mixed productivity/gaming use, worth it or gimmick?
  3. Is mini-LED overkill at this budget/use level, or a real upgrade over standard IPS?
  4. Anyone bought refurbished or second-hand monitors in France? Good experience, or too risky?
  5. I'm in no rush and happy to wait for a good deal, what's the best platform/way to snag sales in France? (Trying idealo, but i have to put an alarm per model, perhaps I'm missing something)

Edit:

Budget is around ~200e
