Hello Yall its me again. Super thankful for all your responses last time I posted.

I got to submit my video by Tuesday of next week.

They are looking for creativity, dynamics and timing.

In general they tend to be flexible and not play 100% like the original songs.

So my question is: Should I try to play exactly like the album? I know this song has two guitars but ill be doing the lead yet still try to do a little bit of rhythm. Any ideas here would be great.

Song is "Raise a Hallelujah" in Db

2. Should I record straight from my phone and upload that? I know some people like to use a recording software and do the more sophisticated approach. They did not specify the format they only said "backing track is highly recommended"

Hello Folks

I am auditioning for a contemporary worship band soon (electric guitar) and wanted to ask for some advise.

I've been playing for about 15 years for a small church with a developing band so we were not at the level of a modern band. We were more like a print out songs and play along to the chords kind of band with people at all levels. Over time on my own I learned to play leads, scales and solo's and etc so I would say I am intermediate. I recently moved to a new church that has a pretty skilled contemporary band where they play Bethel, Elevation worship songs. They haven't given an audition date but I want to prepare in advance. It gives me a bit anxiety not knowing what to prepare for. I ve been working on triads and the NNS system (new to me). I also recently bought a Line 6 Pod Go but I'll admit I am not well versed with effects, for the most part ive always just downloaded presets. I know I will need to put in daily effort to try to be ready but some guidance would be helpful.

The first part will be a recorded video with a song of their choosing.

Songs they play alot: No one like the Lord, Jesus be the Name, Gratitude, For Christ Alone, and some spanish worship songs since its a blingual church.
