Apologies if this has been discussed and I missed it, but in the show (not in the books), Svetlana and Ilya have been friends since "they were children". But his dad says that the Minister wants to meet Ilya despite him being Svet's father.

Was Senior Rosanov having a memory issue that Ilya just went along with in that scene or am I missing something? Since Svetlana is later referred to as being "American", I always assumed that her mother was from the USA and that maybe Svet was born in America but raised in Russia.

Without any book cannon, I think we are left to just make up our own backstory (?) Does anyone have any info on this?

I'm listening to the audio book for the first time. I'm at the scene where Shane & Hayden are out with the kids. The scene is pretty much just like the show, except for Shane musing about how Hayden met Jacki. I'll spoiler tag the rest:

>!When thinking back on the night out at the club, Shane recalls an unfortunate sexual encounter with some girl named Olivia? Ophellia? "But Jacki was great. Shane had done well marrying her. And their kids were adorable...."!<

I swear I listened to it at least 5 times to be sure I heard what I heard! Anyone else notice this and is it in the printed books too?
