Hiring 15 Finance Students who enjoy writing online (PAID, BEGINNER FRIENDLY)

Hey! I'm a finance student looking for a few people interested in finance, investing, or business to help grow online finance communities.

The work is simple: you'll receive short writing tasks with clear instructions. It's fully remote, flexible, and you can complete as many (or as few) tasks as you want around classes or work.

No experience needed. If you enjoy writing online or spend time on Reddit, X, or LinkedIn, you'll probably be a good fit.

Compensation: Average $200/week, depending on the number of approved tasks you complete.

You can apply at this link!

I cold-emailed 730 investment bankers and got 3 replies

My CV is not bad, I come from a good BS (Definitely above standard), and I haven’t got lucky with traditional applications. Every finance guru is telling to network and coldemail. So I did it

Result: nothing. I will put here an overview of my process so please tell me what I am doing wrong. I’ve attached the screenshots of the replies.

I contacted 730 bankers using 2 email addresses over a period of 2 months. Approx. 5-10 per day. I used an email marketing tool which I paid around $80 (only cost I had for doing this). To find the email I did multiple free accounts on some databases but I paid nothing.

Among those 730, about 11% opened my emails and I got 3 replies - all negative. That’s roughly 0.41%. Is it normal? And that’s including negative replies.

My copy: was something very simple and clean. I am not gonna share the exact text but trust me that was not the issue. It was polite and also pre-approved by the coach of my school career center. It was not super tailored but was fine.

The Email Contacts: I searched manually for analysts and associates, HRs and sometimes even partners and scraped their emails from the databases. I tried to find some from my own university and gave preference to those. Some of them I double checked if they had an open position on their company website or LinkedIn but most boutiques and small banks do not (that's exactly why is better to cold outreach).

What I am doing wrong? I understand my copy could be not perfect, but that cannot justify how bad it went. Even if I increase by 5% with better email or subjects it still will be 0

EDIT: First, thank you. I didn't expect so many people to comment, I accept critiques and I know my attempt was not perfect. Also, thanks mods for inviting me to the sub networking event, I will ping it here for more visibility!

People keeps saying the problems are my copies/template but if almost nobody opened my emails how can be that the problem??
