Pony tried 3x and requesting a week trial?

Hi all.

I have someone who lives local who had her daughter try my pony 2x. She asked if we could do a trial, which I said fine and she said she’d get back to me.
Now, she wants her trainer to come with the daughter to try him for the 3rd time and then take the pony on trial as well. I feel like this is getting excessive. Any thoughts? I honestly didn’t want to do a trial but said since she’s local that’s fine. I haven’t officially marketed him yet and I’m tempted to market him as she’s not doing the trial for another two weeks..

Using clients truck and trailer to tow their kid and others...

Hi all,

I sold my truck and trailer a while ago after closing my business and am now back to teaching a handful of people at a friends farm. I have 4 girls wanting to go to a show that is 5 miles away from our farm. One of the girls parents has a two horse and I asked them if they'd be comfortable shipping everyone via two trips. She said just take the truck and trailer because her husband doesnt want to ship, just let her know what I think is "fair."

Has anyone done an arrangement like this? For a local show im $150 for the show day- I was going to deduct 50$ from her show bill and put 40$ gas into the truck. Is this fair? Im truly not sure, never done this as I was used to my own rig. Thanks all

Show name help for new pony

Hi! New pony arriving tomorrow named Ruby. She’s a chestnut large pony mare with four socks and a blaze. She’s currently has no show name and is grade. I was going to do either Little Red Dress or Heart’s Desire. Would love opinions!

Hi all!
For my mom’s 65th we have convinced her to choose Iceland to celebrate the big day. This will be our second time to Iceland and Reykjadalur was magical to us, but we arrived by horse back and then walked up to the top. My mom has back problems, and I’d love for her to experience this. Is there a way to not have to hike up so steep that would be accessible for a 65yr old with back problems?
Thank you!

Hey All

What are your trainers or you charging to take a client to a day show, rated or not? I was a pro but have been out of the game two years. Got asked to get back in it by my clients and have no idea what people are charging anymore. I am $100/hr a lesson (I’m in a well off prominent equestrian area in New Jersey where this is mostly standard) Hunter/Jumpers.
Clients have the horses and the trailer. Just need to figure out what is fair to charge for my training as much has changed- I used to have to charge groom, use of my horse if they’re not using own, trailering fee etc. I’m rusty!

Appreciate your feedback.
