🚚1. Postal Routes — New Carrier, Lower EMS Prices

We’ve switched postal logistics providers. Here’s what changed:

• EUB: Prices stay the same
• EMS: Prices down across the board for every country we ship to

Same service, better rates on EMS

🛫2. New Route — EMS Actual Weight (No Volumetric)

New line added: HB-EMS-(Country) (Actual Weight)

What it means:

• You pay for actual weight only — no volumetric weight calculation
• Available for: Australia, Canada, Spain, New Zealand, Singapore, UK, Germany, South Korea

Size limits:

• Australia, Canada, Spain, NZ, Singapore, UK, Germany, Korea: max 55cm on any side
• All other countries: max 38cm on any side

Parcels exceeding these size limits will not be eligible for the Actual Weight line

Postal lines to EU countries are currently closed while we adjust for the July 1 customs changes.

We’ll reopen and announce as soon as routes are stable. Express/private lines to the EU are still running.

No action needed — the new EMS rates and actual weight route are already live in the system. Just requote your next parcel and you’ll see the difference.

We’d like to share an update regarding the recent delays affecting some EU-bound shipments.

According to the latest notice from our logistics partners, the delays are not caused by high temperatures alone. There are currently two main factors impacting delivery timelines:

• EU tax policy changes taking effect on July 1 have led to a large volume of shipments arriving early at Dutch ports and airports. This has caused congestion across airport handling, warehousing, and customs clearance.
• Ongoing heatwaves across Europe are also affecting local logistics operations, further slowing processing and delivery.

As a result, delays are currently affecting not only the Netherlands, but also European shipping routes more broadly.

We appreciate your patience and understanding, and we’ll continue to monitor the situation closely and share updates whenever possible.

The European Union will introduce new customs regulations starting July 1, 2026.

Under the new policy, the current €150 duty-free threshold for low-value imports will be removed. As a result, all parcels entering the EU may be subject to customs charges based on product categories.

Please review the information below before submitting your shipments.

📦 New Customs Rules

How duties are calculated

• Customs charges are based on the 6-digit HS Code of each product category

• Charges are applied per product category, not per item quantity

• Each unique HS Code category may incur a fixed €3 customs duty

Examples

• 5 T-shirts (same category) → €3 duty

• T-shirt + Shoes + Bag (3 categories) → €9 duty

🛡️ GTBuy Support Policy

To minimize the impact of this policy change, GTBuy will charge only €3 per parcel during the transition period.

• A €3 customs handling fee will be added to EU-bound shipments

• Any additional customs charges resulting from multiple product categories will be covered by GTBuy

• No additional customs payment will be required from customers

Example

If customs charges €12 for a parcel containing 4 product categories, you will only pay €3. GTBuy will cover the remaining €9.

📅 Implementation Timeline

• Starting June 22, 2026, the €3 handling fee will appear in shipping quotations for EU parcels

• For parcels that complete customs clearance before July 1, any category-based customs charges beyond the first €3 will also be covered by GTBuy

💡 Recommendation

Where possible, grouping similar product types in the same parcel may help simplify customs processing.
