I made an ambulance version and a convertible version as well. All with parts that are available from Bricklink.

The ambulance is an elongated version of the red van I made earlier. It has a siren and a blue light on top of the roof and a step board underneath the rear door.

I am thinking about making it broader as well and make openable front and rear doors for it, but we'll have to see what I've got time for before the missus and I travel for a local festival tomorrow.

The convertible version was made by chopping the top off the sedan version and adding a window frame to the windscreen and a folded up leather convertible roof.

I have changed the colour to yellow, and as tan was the closest colour next to yellow that the arched plates on the rear fender came in, I have made a tan stripe along the side of the car to tie in the tan section on the fenders. The convertible version features a brown leather interior and a folded brown leather soft-top roof.

As always, feedback is highly appreciated, and I try to respond to all of your comments.

I remade my recent creation so that it's possible to build with existing LEGO pieces.

I've remade my recent project in red so that it's possible to build from pieces you can buy from Bricklink. I have fine tuned a lot of the details and made it even more streamlined.

I've also added a small engine underneath the bonnet. I couldn't fit much inside the engine bay due to the way the bonnet is constructed, but it's at least a small nod to how a 30's car's engine looks.

I'm planning on uploading the car to Bricklink when I've finished the interior. The interior is still a work in progress, but the exterior is now completely finished. I have played around with a van version as well, that you can see in the last pictures.

I honestly think the van version looks better than the sedan version, but that's my opinion.

Feel free to suggest alterations. All feedback is highly appreciated, and I try to reply to all the comments. The engine is sadly as large as it gets, though, due to space limitations. I would love to make it more like the real thing, but I can't make it any larger due to the bonnet. I might be able to squeeze in some more details when I get the chance to test build it out of real LEGO pieces, but for now, the engine is as good as it gets...

A quick Bricklink Studio project after a long break.

A quick Bricklink Studio project after a long break. Hope you like it! The "Scratches" setting in the renderer was set way too high when I rendered the pictures, so sorry about the beat-up look.

Major rebuild of my old RC hot rod

I have recently done a major rebuild of a LEGO Technic rat rod I made a while ago. I have improved both the look and the mechanics a lot, but kept most of the details that I liked about the old model. It looks mean and drives a lot better than it used to. The steering mechanism has also been significantly altered and improved.

The car is remote controlled, has moving pistons that move when the car moves, independent suspension on all wheels, a lockable rear differential for off-road driving and a steering wheel that moves when you steer the car.

The doors have a latch mechanism that locks them when you rotate the door handle and the roof is hinged to allow easy access to the driver's cabin.

Hope you like it! If you guys have any suggestions as to how to improve it even further, feel free to comment. Feedback is always appreciated 😁
