Crazy queen trap

Okay, I didn't play axb5, but I thought it was absolutely insane how after losing the rook, white's queen will literally just be stuck, if they try breaking free with the pawns you have the time to maneuver the knight and win it, but even with optimal play from the engines, it's best options are literally have the queen watch it's whole armies demies on a8, it's genuinely disgusting, and I am so sad I played bc7 which just looked so automatic, but this is 3-0 I ain't got time for that.

the annoying thing is now that I see it, it looked so simple and obvious, but nah LMAO

Openings on freestyle/960

Just curious, if anyone has any videos or if there's anything on, what to generally do for openings, I always just play to standard principles, but curious if any top gms or anyone has ever made content or a book on it? Just searching google wasn't very helpful.

Repost - Pic didn't upload I guess

So, I know why it's a brilliant, I would consider myself okay at chess, my confusion comes from blacks best move in response, is TAKING??
The computer WANTS to lose the queen, and considers it +3 for white? (not taking is like +6)
where as blocking with the knight, just not taking, ect ect, I was analysing by myself, I just, I guess I'm not good enough to understand why it's worse to NOT take the knight?
I've never been baffled by a move so badly would love to see some opinions from maybe someone smarter. Or maybe someone worse can ego me lol

(idk why it didn't upload the pic lol i stg i clicked it)

books for 2200 (online rapid)

just looking for some books to help improvement,
I've got Silmans Endgame,
polgar's chess problems (dont wanna grab the books for the exact names sorry)
and secrets of practical chess,
I was thinking about Jacobs Aagaard's GM Prep Calculation book, or one of Dvoretsky's books, but wasn't sure what would be best, I also figured these might be a bit difficult (or a lot) just wanted some others opinions!

Y'all I saw a tweet, a dude bragging about being 2400 in rapid and he's also 2300 in blitz, joined literally only in June. 200 or so games. I just like.

Anyone know any shops looking for apprentices?

Just like the question.

My wife and I just recently moved here, and I was working out in St Catherine's, but I'm not driving all the way out there.

310S or even 310T I got 7 years in S and 2 in T. Just indeed quite literally gives me nothing lol. Just curious

Recommendations for improving

Wassup y'all, wondering what you guys got for improving, as someone who is high 1700 low 1800 in rapid.

Personally, (just feeling wise) I find myself losing because of pawn play. Being 17/1800 I don't hang pieces, don't miss anything basic, at least not usually and I review basically every game win or lose. I usually know why I lost immediately after playing a move if it's that bad ya know?

But when it comes to a dead even middle game position, and I gotta, move my A pawn up 1, I literally never catch those, Ill move a piece 9/10 times when I don't know what to do. The odd time I'll move a pawn but usually not calculating anything because my opponent also has 800 possible moves and nothing is (at this point) usually threatening. Hopefully this makes sense so far.

Wondering if anyone has any recommendations, books, or just. Any advice.

Appreciate y'all ❤️
