Starting a job with a Jewish organization

I am super excited I was offered a position at our location Jewish federation…I am so pumped to get back into the non profit world!
However, I am not Jewish. I have had a lifetime appreciate of the Jewish culture and people, but…I need help. What are some good resources or books or podcasts youd recommend to someone wanting to learn more?

Never thought I’d be transitioning out of the field

I’ve known I wanted to work in museums since I was a kid. I spent my educational years padding my resume, getting the internships that helped pave my path even working at a presidential library. In total I’ve spent nearly 20 years in starting with archives/curatorial and currently in education and programming…and I just took a development job for a non profit. The work is gonna be awesome but I can’t feel like I’m disappointing myself or at least the version of me who saw myself in a museum career.

I just can’t do it anymore. I’m currently doing the work of 4, expected to do it under 40 hrs with no help and just added stress as there’s no transparency and my supervisor is more concerned about keeping her own job than seeinf the dysfunction in her department. I will be the third person who reports to my boss to quit in less than 2 months. Maybe leadership will finally take a look at her instead of accepting her excuse of “I don’t know what’s happening with turnover”.

But boy the thought of starting a job where I don’t have as much responsibility, less hours, more pay, and consistent hours? Talk about less stress. I still am sad that it came to this to leave.
