Was thinking about finding a blacksmith to fix my axe to make it usable again

Damascus delaminated from the core steel, can it be fixed?

So my kids and their mom gifted me an axe head for my birthday, and instead of just slapping it onto an off the shelf axe head I made it personal and then I upgraded my knifes as well (might have been hit by shinyitis for a moment)

Planning on carving my name into the handle in runes when I have some free time

What do you guys think?
