Help fund my film UP DOWN on Kickstarter… plus any advice…
Hello Women In Film - I was referred to you by another producer subreddit…
My name is Melody Lily Jade and I’m currently looking for $30,000 in financing for a full length feature film called UP DOWN to be filmed here on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada.
I have all locations, crew, equipment, & cast secured and currently have a Kickstarter campaign going. It is a path I’m exploring but if crowdfunding doesn’t work, I’ll keep funding the project myself. Grants etc have been applied for and I am waiting to hear back.
Do you have any advice or resources for something like this?
There is a “Proof Of Concept” music video on the Kickstarter page and I do also have a mini trailer. I plan on posting some “Behind The Scenes” pre-production stills as well on my Instagram.
Hope to hear from you all soon, thank you!
