I'm trying to do a (semi) blind playthrough of New Vegas for the first time and I just got to the honest hearts DLC. I got ambushed and took care of the white legs, then Follows-chalk started shooting at me, so I shot him dead and moved on not thinking much about it. Now I've been wandering the dlc for about an hour lost, looked it up and learned that Follows chalk was a story important npc and I just screwed up the entire dlc on accident... AFTER just overriding my save with the fucked up one. Safe to say I'm pissed and devastated.
Is there any safe way to restart the dlc without starting a new game? I heard something about leaving back to the Mohave, uninstalling and reinstalling the dlc to reset it. Does that actually work???
I'm on steam deck btw
