Hypothetical live action lion king story ideas
I believe that the romance of kovu and Kiara Will be the central part of the next live action lion king movie while also giving Simba and Nala more emotional depth. Both Kiara and kion can function as the main protagonists of the movie. Simba would be cautiously optimistic and tolerant instead of being overprotective. Kion might get his signature scar from another lion in a fight and Rafiki instructs kion to go to the tree of life, which can be reimagined as a large secluded ecosystem with african fauna and flora and different biomes, and there he meets rani, who at first distrusts him but Both become friends and partners with mutual feelings even without naming them yet. Kovu might be reimagined as a kidnapped orphan who loses his birth family to the outsiders, was manipulated by zira and is taken by Simba and nala as a ward. Zira could function as a main antagonist alongside a new tyrannical male lion. Kion might even introduce rani to his family. In the next movie after the third live action lion king movie (most likely simba’s pride or something), kion could be the main protagonist and he and rani might fall in love. Both romances (kion/rani and kovu/kiara) could work as more flirty slow burn ones built on friendship, trust and partnership. What do you guys think will happen?
