Hi everyone I need a hand here. My family and I want to gift my dad a kayak for his 60 th birthday, he is about to retire and wants to start a new hobby.

Problem is I really know nothing about kayaks and have no clue where to begin. From what I gathered he'd like a rigid body sit on top, he'd be using it in the sea (mediterranean) just as a workout/sightseeing tool, maybe some very minor fishing.

Do you have any recommendations for brand? What price range should I aim for it to be a good kayak? In general, what should I look for?
