Shipments from HanBon Forge.

In a prior post I postulated that prices might go up a bit per item due to increased "handling" because of additional paperwork involved. However when I asked Yao about it he said that is not the case.

The pictures above are screenshots of the communication I received about how they are handling the shipment these days and why there is occasionally a delay once items have been shipped

For how other providers are dealing with any of this you'll have to contact them directly.

HanBon Forge - The Naked Blade.

In the raw preview of HBF sword #22.

Not even sure what steel type it is. Being from HBF with that hamon it's either T10 or 1095. However I just told Yao I prefer T10, but if 1095 was handier or they had more of it or whatever that that would be fine.

When done it will be fully upgraded with all the relevant bells and whistles relating to the fittings and saya.

Part of that is I'm having them put buffalo horn on one of the basic/"free" saya. For those that didn't know, anyone can do that. You just have to pay the same surcharge that you would as if you had ordered one of the upgraded saya that comes with the buffalo horn.

Order in for HanBon Forge sword #22.

Hello sword friends.

Old dogs that we both are, I had to take a little break to divert discretionary funds to my dog's medical care as well as dealing with a few issues of my own.

Fortunately there was/is no financial stress having to deal with my issues, just his. But it can all be a bit exhausting.

Anyway, don't want to give too much away right now, just know that this sword will be the precursor to #23 and together they will be a daisho set set similar to 18 & 19...

I don't mean similar in look to 18/19, just that 22 / 23 will be similar enough in appearance that people will easily consider them a set. Though like 18/19 there will be some differences.

Best to all.

Survey - What are your thoughts on the Musashi tsuba? Pretty cool classic or overused cliche? And, if you generally like it, does it matter if it's plain or gilded up a bit or good to go either way?
