Struggling with lone-manning the store as a new employee
Been employed for about a month at a small argos store. Started being given shifts on my own which im finding pretty stressful because I dont know how to do everything yet- I have the general basics down for the most part but I feel like there's a lot I dont know how to do and every time I have lonemanned (3 or 4 times so far) there's been something I wasn't sure how to do. Dont often get quick responses from my manager or other employees if I ask for help online etc (fair enough but sucks) so I just have to tell customers to come tomorrow or something like that. Its making me really anxious going to work because I dont want to get it wrong (my first job) but if no one is there to point in the right direction im not sure how I can get better at the role. Any advice on how to get more comfortable with the job and not have this issue anymore? Is it fair to say im finding doing it on my own difficult to my employer?
