Can you retrofit higher spec equipment to a lower spec car?
A few months ago i got myself a W123, as my first car actually. The previous owner restored it to a very nice shape, and in general, the car itself is fine. It's a 1980 200D, mechanically it runs perfectly, just needed some suspension work. But, during the summer i found the lack of an A/C painful, especially if i have to go somewhere a bit farther, or if i get stuck in traffic, so my question, as per the title is; Is it possible to retrofit some higher spec equipment to this car?
Literally the only thing it has is power steering, and i was looking into, other than the A/C, to set up rear speakers, and perhaps a rear dome light. I have considered selling it and getting another with better equipment, but my country has pretty strict laws when it comes to importing vehicles, and the domestic offerings are not really much better, if at all.
