The crack works depending on the path; the file with the add-on name appears there.
For example: If I launch my aircraft or add-ons, this path should appear in Documents: C:\Users\Username\Documents\My Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator\packages\Addon Name\Work. It might create a folder called "work" if it's not in Documents; it could be in %appdata% or C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages\Addon Name\Work. It might create a folder called "work" or it might be in Local. It depends on whether the simulator detects the file where to paste the crack.
