50th Anniversary!

I’m down almost 70 since early August (at least before yesterday’s buffet and dinner!). Wife down 120+ (6 1/2 yrs).

Zepbound (for me) and Mounjaro (for her) has given us our lives back!

Stronger and healthier for the next 30 yrs!

Last Purge?

20 more shirts that wrap extra way around my body.
2 pair of jeans that I \*thought\* were my forever size-too large now. Same with a couple pair of chinos.

I think this is my 6th? haul-away of clothes.

Had to go buy 30” and 31” waists pants and jeans. Never before as an adult, since at least my freshman yr of HS. Med shirts now.

Down 68 lbs total, about 10 since I started maintenance. Cardio and resistance training 4-5 days a week. Just titrated down from 10 mg to 7.5 mg today. Spacing shots out about 10 days apart.

I am gobsmacked at my weight, how I feel, and the difference in my body!

Or…, is it Zep-smacked? 😜

Random Compliment

Appliance repair guy came out this morning to check on our dryer.

We were talking after he gave us the bad news about how much it would cost to repair. Then he made a comment, “Nice work at the gym! Your back looks like Dorian Yates.”

I had no idea who Dorian Yates is. I said, “Thank you.”

He left, and I looked up Dorian Yates.

6-time champion bodybuilder.

Appliance repair guy is totally full of it.

I’ve had a smile on my face all day.

GOOOOAALLLS!

  1. To no longer be sick and tired.
  2. Rule number 1 (look good).
  3. Rule number 2 (have fun).
  4. Walking The Narrows in Zion National Park. (See Rule no. 2)
  5. Canyoneering at Lamb’s Knoll (just outside Zion NP)-hiking 1/4 mile in(guess) uphill, scrambling, stemming, rappelling.
  6. Grand Canyon N Rim (Transept Trail-W from the campground) with my sweetie of almost 50 yrs (in 4 weeks)! She has lost 120+ lbs on Mounjaro.
  7. Blackberry Bear Paw French Toast after the Pa’rus Trail and The Narrows.

New Goal: our canyoneering guide, Kyle, said that the oldest people he had on his tours were in their mid 70s. I set a date to meet him back here in 8 1/2 years, when I turn 80.

Lost half my face!

I went to the DMV today to renew my drivers license. I was talking to the young clerk in the office, who took one look at my new photo when comparing with my old photo, and said, “Wow!“

He wanted to know how I had lost the weight. I told him “I use just enough meth to lose the weight, but not the teeth.“

He looked at me, dead serious, and said, “Really?“

I did go on and tell him the truth.

60+ lbs down. And I have lost half of my face and all of my ass.
