Patch 5.23.0 has just arrived, bringing divisions to most leagues and changes to how expeditions work.
It’s early days, but we’re curious what you think these changes could mean for the season.
🏆 Divisions: What are your first thoughts on adding Division 1 and Division 2 to most leagues? What do you expect the changes to Prestige, promotion, and demotion to mean for league progression?
🗺️ Expeditions: Event and Classic expeditions now appear separately, and each has a limit on how many can be active at once.

Following our recent Sneak Peek, it’s time to share the full details about League Divisions and how their rollout will work.
The transition begins with the new season on September 23, before Divisions become fully active from October 7.
Here’s everything you need to know.
Each League from Silver to Diamond will now have two Divisions:
Division 2 - Division 1
Division 1 is the higher of the two.
Your progression will now look like this:
Bronze - Silver 2 - Silver 1 - Gold 2 - Gold 1 - Platinum 2 - Platinum 1 - Diamond 2 - Diamond 1 - Legend
Bronze and Legend remain single Leagues without Divisions.
With the current system, moving up a League can sometimes put you against much more experienced Lords with stronger gear too quickly.
By adding more steps along the way, progression will become more gradual, giving you more opportunities to compete against Lords closer to your level while keeping every promotion meaningful.
Your Division will be determined by your position at the end of each season, just like League promotions and demotions are today.
There is no new placement system based on Prestige or another power score. Divisions are additional progression steps within the existing League journey.
Once Divisions are fully active, moving up or down will happen one step at a time through this new structure.
Alongside Divisions, we’re adjusting promotion and demotion thresholds at the end of each season.
These thresholds apply to most Divisions.
Silver 2 works differently: the top 25% will be promoted to Silver 1, while the remaining 75% will stay in Silver 2.
Overall, this means more players will have the opportunity to progress, while fewer will be demoted in most Divisions.
Bronze and Legend remain unchanged.
Prestige Points awarded at the end of each season based on your League and final ranking will also evolve with the introduction of Divisions.
Starting with the season on September 23, you’ll be able to find the exact Prestige Point rewards directly in the dedicated in-game panel.
Gems remain tied to your League, not your Division.
For example, Lords in Diamond 2 and Diamond 1 will have the same Diamond gems.
Divisions therefore do not introduce new or different gems within the same League.
Starting with the new system, the amount of gems awarded will be adjusted.
The League Lock remains in place and will now take Divisions into account.
It will cover a three-Division window, from your highest-achieved Division down to two Divisions below it.
For example, if your highest-achieved Division is Gold 1, the lowest Division you can play in is Silver 1. You will no longer be able to drop to Silver 2.
This keeps the League Lock’s existing purpose while adapting it to the more gradual progression created by Divisions.
The transition to League Divisions will happen progressively.
On September 23, your end-of-season result will determine your League as usual. Whether you are promoted, remain in your League, or are demoted, everyone will begin the new season in Division 1 of their resulting League.
The new Division structure will be visible in-game, and the new promotion and demotion thresholds will apply throughout that season.
This transition season will determine the first movements within the new system.
Then, when the season ends on October 7, the first actual split between Division 1 and Division 2 will take place according to the new ranking thresholds.
From October 7 onward, both Divisions will be fully active as part of League progression.

With the new season starting on September 23, League progression will be getting an update.
We’re introducing League Divisions, designed to make your journey through the rankings smoother, more competitive, and more rewarding.
Today, every Lord starts their journey in Bronze and fights their way through Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and ultimately Legend by ranking high enough at the end of each season.
But sometimes, that progression can feel a little too abrupt.
Moving up too quickly can put you against much more experienced Lords with stronger gear, making the jump to the next League feel less like a challenge to overcome and more like hitting a wall.
Reaching the next step should still be challenging, but it should also feel achievable.
That’s why we’re introducing League Divisions.
By adding more steps between Leagues, progression will become more gradual, giving you more opportunities to compete against Lords closer to your level while still making every promotion feel earned.
This is only a first teaser 👀! We’ll share more details about League Divisions, promotions, demotions, and other League-related adjustments as we get closer to release.

Patch 5.21.0 is coming on August 26 and will be available across all stores.
This update brings Temples and Templars to more Leagues, new functions for managing Expedition Gear, Special Expedition Keys, and an adjustment to Clan Gifts.
Rather than simply sharing the patch notes, we also want to hear what you think.
🏛️ Temples and Templars: Temples will become available in Silver League, while Templars can be purchased in both Silver and Gold Leagues.

During the Summer Event Part III (August 26 - September 9), two new items are coming to the game, giving you new ways to access Special Expeditions and chase their rewards.
🔑 Silver Key
Can be used to enter Expedition Medium Mode, where you can earn Silver or Gold Keys alongside other rewards.
🔑 Gold Key
Can be used to enter Expedition Hard Mode, offering higher-value rewards such as Legendary Equipment, as well as Gold and Silver Keys.
How can you obtain the Keys?
Keys can be obtained through the Event shop, promo bundles, or the webshop. You can also earn your first key by completing Expedition Easy Mode, which is free to enter.
⏳ Important: These new Keys are exclusive to Summer Event Part III and will only be available during this part of the event.
The deeper you go, the greater the rewards. 👀
