An Ode to My Incomprehensible Love

There are depths within you, fathoms beyond my grasp,

A language unspoken, yet rich with intent,

And I, a faltering scholar, ill-versed, inept,

Trace meaning in shadows, misread what is meant.

You are a sonnet composed in celestial script,

Each stanza adorned with an intricate grace,

Yet I, in my folly, unlettered, obtuse,

Stumble through verses I struggle to place.

How often, my love, have I failed to discern

The cadence, the nuance, the truths in your gaze?

I wander through echoes of all I misheard,

Yet still, I am rapt, irrevocably swayed.

Forgive me my trespass, my blind, wayward heart,

This mind, though devoted, is hapless and slow.

Yet know this with certainty—constant, unstirred—

No force in existence could bid me let go.
