Daughter is heading into 3rd grade. We've been counting and dividing and she is doing pretty well with multiplication and division math facts. Her teachers did encourage us to help her recall them more automatically. I wanted to start on long division with her, but I really only know the traditional way. Will this mess her up for Montessori style learning? I looked it up and the method seems to do something similar but just more tactile.
