Absolutely love how this came out. I am so happy with how the Metallic Silver paint on the cannon barrels turned out. The gold paint also pops especially on the back plate.

It stands easily on its own as a display piece but the combinations look fantastic. Ninja MegaFalconzord is especially awesome as you really get to see all of the design events of Falconzord. This is the form I plan to display it in.

Such a great value kit to get both Ninja Megazord and Falconzord bundles together. Highly recommend!

Just Ninjor/Ninjaman to build now to complete the MMPR S3/Kakuranger line up!

Okay this is 100% my new favourite kit! This one was so much fun to build and the model is OUTSTANDING!

Each zord looks great and the combined megazord is 99% perfection. Literally the only thing I could pick on it is that the ape hands have to be removed. Other than that I don't think they could have done anything better. This is especially impressive given this was an earlier kit!

I added some silver and gold paint to this one. I was selective with the gold and did a bit of a mix of the stickers and painted parts to create some highlighted areas with the brighter gold stickers. I think this looks particularly good on the megazord legs. The pre-painted brighter gold in tandem with the more elegant painted gold trim is really eye catching. I also used Metallic Silver for the hand pieces and bear bar to match the pre-painted shoulder pieces. I think it works.

I have both Falconzord and Ninjor all painted and ready to build so will be working on those next.

Really love this kit! A bit fiddly to paint all of the silver parts as they are numerous but well worth it!

It looks absolutely stunning both in ship form and Megazord mode.

Cannot wait to get going with the Delta Megazord tomorrow to see those two combined!!

This is a major upgrade on Daizyujin! Absolutely loved how this turned out. The gold and silver paint on this just make it look so premium. The sticker quality was also much better.

On its own the Dragonzord kit looks great but in Battle Mode it really pops! I have never been the biggest fan of the fully combined mode but that also comes together really nicely too.

Now for Titanus! Really can't wait to see how this one all works with the electronics and by the looks of it... Very little to no additional paint required 😌

Got this one finished today. With this being the first ever Sentai Super Mini-pla I went in with tempered expectations but actually I really like the finished result!

I did paint mine and the silver really makes this kit poo. I used some Metallic Silver on the chest piece and original chrome parts (horns etc) from the DX toy. The side parts of the megazord head and a couple small painted areas were done with markers and I think they came out decent (I avoid markers wherever possible as I don't think they look good when used for more than small details).

Yes some of the stickers (particularly on the Pterodactyl head) are not up to standard and there are some obvious areas where advancements have been made since this release (the lack of opening mouths and parts-forming for the tyrannosaurus head transformation being the main ones) but overall this surpassed my expectations.

I was really pleased with how the sword came out. It looks a million times better with show accurate paint. I did originally have the tip of the handle silver like in the show but unfortunately when it was placed in the hand the paint just scratched so I compromised by making the full handle black as that is far more resistant to scratches. I think it looks fine like that.

I have the Dragon Caesar (Dragonzord) grey parts all painted and fully drying overnight ready for building tomorrow and with hopefully get going with King Brachion (Titanus) tomorrow as well. Really looking forward to seeing the Ultrazord formed!

Getting VERY close now to completing my backlog of all Sentai SMP kits. Think I only have 5 or 6 to go which is not bad considering I only started a few months ago.

Now I'm home I'm getting stuck right back in. Painting in progress on the Zyuranger sets. Been saving these until I got back so I could get to work and hopefully finish the full line this weekend. Expectations are tempered as I know these were the very first Super minipla kits so I know they are a tad more basic but still keen to build. I am excited for King Brachion/Titanus though as it looks like a really cool build!

Managed to get this fantastic build finished just before I head off on holiday.

Always been a standout megazord for me and this SMP kit takes it to a whole new level! Gave all of the gold and silver parts a spray with Tamiya paints and the result is excellent. Really happy with it.

When I get back in 2 weeks I will be breaking open my Bull Tauros and Gingaman Light set to really finish this kit off with the added parts.

Absolutely LOVE this kit!!

Such a fun build and the paint just does so much for this one. The Wolf especially needs the silver to really look the part!

Had a slight wobble on the very last piece. The final section of the tail had the tiny peg break off so I improvised with some glue and a cocktail stick to get the two pieces slotted together and worked a charm. Still ratchets for the articulation.

Have the original on pre-order for next year but this version looks amazing. I have always preferred the blue for the megazord. The green looks better in animal form I think.

Off on holiday at the end of this week so my backlog will take a break for now. Was hoping to try get GingaiOh finishes before but down with a cold so spray paints are a non-starter right now.

Like with Super Live Robo I decided to take the plunge and take GaoKing apart and paint it.

I did some Gold along with the Silver on this one and really love the result.

Working on SMP GaoHunter Blue Moon now and really enjoying making this one. Always been a personal favourite megazord of mine.

So after completing Super Live Robo I couldn't help but look at my painted RV Robo and how much the silver paint just adds to it. So I caved and decided to carefully take them apart and paint them.

Really happy with the results. They look great both in individual robo modes and in Super Live Robo mode.

I used Tamiya Mica Silver on the grey parts and used Metallic Silver on the cannons on each Robo.

For the sword I was really trying to get it show accurate but the red circles were not something I fancied buying a whole tin of spray for so I improvised by using the leftover rec circle stickers from Live Boxer (the ones left over from the larger red sticker) and they fit really well and look the part once sprayed with some Tamiya Clear spray. Mix of Mica Silver, Metallic Silver and Metallic Black used for the sword.

I have now successfully managed to take apart by Gao King and I'm in the process of painting that now. Decided Saint Kaizer really doesn't need it as it looks great as it is. I have a big backlog of sets to build but really wanted to work on my already built sets with some paint. Going forward I probably will at least paying the grey parts of all kits silver as it looks so much better. I am doing some Gold on GaoKing and GingaiOh as they will look great with it but I honestly don't mind the butterscotch gold you get on most kits so probably won't use gold too often.

Got a few more kits still to arrive and still keeping an eye out for the rest.

Not planning to pick up the Clear Versions of the Zyuranger and Gaoranger sets as not really a fan. Still undecided on the Alternative Destiny Liveman sets, the non transforming Bioman set (I forget the name as haven't watched any of Bioman but think it's a villain? 😅) and the Purple Magiking set.

My replacement Live Robo arrived today so was able to fix the broken leg using new parts and had a much better experience this time. So with that sorted and added to my Live Boxer I was finally able to form Super Live Robo!

Really loved building these two kits and together they make a really nice combined megazord. The mechanics of how the arms click together are SO satisfying.

As a megazord I never had in DX Scale I loved putting each zord together and especially love Jet Falcon - such a cool zord!

Seriously considering the Alternative Destiny kits for these as they look fantastic. Has anyone got these and can recommend or not recommend?

Meantime working on GingaiOh and wow this one is so satisfying! Can't wait to see it all finished.

SMP Live Boxer is complete. This was my fifth minipla build and this one came together really quickly. Like Live Robo the build for this was really satisfying and the quality really good. Even better that I didn't have a catastrophic break like with Live Robo..

The two look great together and I look forward to getting my replacement Live Robo (fingers crossed for a better outcome 🤞) so I can put them together to form Super Live Robo.

The individual zord sizes for the Liveman line are surprisingly substantial for SMP scale. They are not a world away from DX size on other series but when combined they retain the SMP scale along with my other models.

I will be working on either GingaiOh or GaoHunter-BM next.

My Gaoranger Gao Hunter Blue Moon and GaoKing Black kits arrived from Hobby Genki and NinNinGame. Missed the pre-orders on these as hadn't started collecting at that point so was lucky to get these on release through the waiting lists 🤩

Gingaman kits also came today and cannot wait to build these. Was really happy to find both unopened for great prices. Already have Victory Mars still to build so the power up parts that come with Bull Black will be put to full use 👌

Currently building Live Boxer but suspect I will either do Gao Hunter Blue Moon or Ginga-oh next.

Was really enjoying building SMP Live Robo and been painting the Sword and Cannons. Then disaster struck in the transformation....

The Lego joint on Sky Machine completely stuck on one side. Tried greasing it but it would not budge and then the peg just completely twisted off. This is really disappointing. So I cannot form Live Robo at the minute.

Thankfully I have managed to order a replacement kit but really could have been doing without the additional expense!! (I have spent quite a lot the last month already trying to source the back catalogue of Sentai kits).

I don't think this is an issue I could have avoided either without knowing in advance to sand as the build only requires you to push the leg in about half way and it's only when you have to push it in the rest of the way for transformation that it stuck and wouldn't budge either way. The other side is also perfectly fine. At least for the replacement I will know to be very careful here...

Has anyone else had this issue with Live Robo? It's a pretty catastrophic fault and if anyone knows of any other kits with similar issues I need to be very careful with I would definitely appreciate the heads up. 😅

Decided to go for GaoKing as my next build. This was my third build and really enjoyed this one. I found it a bit more simple to put together and with not so many stickers it was quite relaxing

The individual words all look great and the combined megazord is excellent. I should have the black variant and Gao Hunter Blue Moon arriving next week and look forward to those. All other kits are pre-ordered for the re-releases and this build has made me really hyped for them!

Can't wait to get started on my next kit. Think I will do Live Robo next!

This is my second SMP build and I must admit I really enjoyed this one. Probably more than RV Robo.

This one looks really great as is out of the box.

Planning my next kit but trying to choose between starting GaoKing or LiveRobo.

This is the finished product - Painted SMP RV Robo!

This is my first ever paint job and I'm really happy with how it came out. This is actually also only my second finished SMP build (the first being my first attempt at RV Robo - used here for comparison).

All grey parts have been painted using Tamiya Silver Leaf. Chrome parts have been painted using Tamiya Metallic Silver and the centre panel of the shield is Tamiya Metallic Black. Mr Hobby Black Surfacer used on all parts before spraying and Tamiya Clear Coat applied to all non-metallic parts.

I also did the back panels of the robo to bring it in line with the look from the show. A black wash applied to these pieces to bring out the details and give it the "dirty" look of the bottom of a car.

I really love the results and RV Robo is definitely a model that needed at the very least the metallic grills done.

I found the painting to be quite a lengthy process with dry and curing times and going through the different stages. It was great to see it come together, don't get me wrong, but it was admittedly quite a stressful experience to build. I was really nervous about breaking any parts (I had a couple on my first build) and this did unfortunately happen on one part of Blue however I was able to swap the part out with my first model and re-paint (this is why one panel on the back of the non-painted model has paint).

I have included comparison photos between the finished model, each individual zord as well as the sword and shield.

Like I say this is my first painted model kit and only second finished model overall so really keen to hear any feedback, tips or tricks you might have. 👌

Starting to put my second RV Robo together. Had a slight blip on Blue so had to swap parts with my first one 🤦 A small part now needs painted on the replacement part but I can continue on meantime.

Thought I would skip ahead and get the Sword and Shield put together though to see how they compare and I am pretty happy with this for a first paint job attempt!

I used Tamiya Sprays. The Sword is Silver on the blade and Metallic Silver on the base. I think the Metallic Silver really pops here to add that ever so slight difference between the base and the blade. I took a photo in the light where you can really see it.

I absolutely love the shield! I used Metallic Silver on the grey centre piece and Metallic Black on the central black piece. You can really see the Metallic Black sparkle in the light.

I am loving the results so far but must admit the process of painting is a lot and it has made me a bit shaky when putting it together as it feels much more tricky and risky. Not sure I will make a habit out of painting other than for parts that maybe really need it. RV Robo I think does need it and I look forward to comparing my painted and non-painted models once done. (Assuming no more mishaps that prove catastrophic 🫣).

I am a beginner so appreciate any tips or feedback 👍

After building RV Robo as my first ever Minipla set I made a couple mistakes and lost a tiny headlights on Red and broke a peg on the leg so ordered a second before they sold out.

Decided to take the risk given the second set of pieces and tried a paint job to bring it more in line with the show.

Painting all done. The black plastic underside has just had its clear coat finished up and is drying. The Silver and Metallic Silver pieces as well as the Metallic Black shield piece are already dry as they were finished yesterday. Obviously a first time so not striving for anything close to perfection so just hoping it looks alright and hasn't ruined the model...

Whilst chipping away at this paint job I have been working on my second build - Magiranger Saint Kaiser. Really enjoying this one as it's very different to RV Robo! The small and intricate decals for Saint Phoenix were nerve wracking but happy with it so far!

Looking forward to putting RV Robo take 2 together over the weekend and will share the results.
