Unpopular opinion: Some authors are famous and known in the community either because of their sister or their friends irl who happened to have established a name in the community.
It genuinely frustrates me sm (maybe I am jealous idk) because no one would be reading some author's book if they weren't known by their friend/sister's work. And I am not hating on anyone. "Everyone hates nepotism until it's your turn." But how about evaluating them as a writer and then who they are? Like wdym a girl with a broken or, rather, a weird bad writing, a simple plot gets hundreds of edits made on their book??
