just a quick vent because the data science team is driving me insane this week.

they got a massive budget approved for some new ML initiative, bypassed infra completely, and just provisioned a bunch of heavy server mania bare metal nodes to crunch their datasets. fine, cool, whatever.

but now i have a p1 ticket sitting in my queue because their training pipelines are "stalling" and they are instantly blaming the storage backend.

brother, you are trying to feed tens of thousands of random small file reads per second into multiple high-end GPUs over a legacy 10G iSCSI hybrid array that we bought in 2019. the controllers are quite literally screaming for their lives.

it is so frustrating how the entire tech industry is obsessing over raw compute right now, but absolutely nobody thinks about the storage throughput required to actually keep those pipelines fed until the IO wait times hit the roof.

tell me im not the only one dealing with these new AI workloads completely nuking their legacy SANs. im so tired.

I recently received a legal demand notice from ICICI Bank regarding a credit card outstanding of around ₹3.93 lakh. The bank/collection team initially offered settlement around ₹1.38–1.64 lakh.

My current financial condition is very poor. My monthly income is only around ₹12,000. I already have:

another ongoing loan EMI

an ongoing HDFC settlement

other financial obligations

I had already emailed the bank explaining my hardship, and they replied saying settlement cannot be processed over email and asked me to contact the collection branch/team directly.

The recovery team also mentioned possible legal action and account freeze if payment is not made.

I am not trying to avoid payment and I genuinely want to resolve the matter, but I cannot afford such a high settlement amount.

I wanted to ask:

Has anyone handled a similar ICICI legal notice situation?

How much do banks usually reduce settlement amounts in hardship cases?

How serious are these “account freeze/legal action” warnings at this stage?

Is it better to negotiate by phone or visit the branch directly?

Any precautions before agreeing to settlement?

Would appreciate genuine advice from people who have faced similar situations or from lawyers/banking professionals.
