Tried my best to match them to their characters. My adamant nature Tyranitar is my praised Pokemon. Fits my favorite character Guts perfectly.

Catching the fleeing Pokémon was a pain. I had hunter with mean look to get the rest of the legendary birds, Mesprit, and Cresselia (which all took a lot of quick balls, ultra balls, and dusk balls to catch). I had to grind hunter to get him fast enough to mean look Zapdos but even at 133 speed it still wasn’t fast enough. I had to use my Rayquaza and extreme speed to get his HP low enough. Had to go with one off encounters and throw quick balls at it till I got lucky. After days of hunting I finally caught it late last night and I can’t believe that I got a timid nature Zapdos. My wife couldn’t understand why I was geeking out over it. Haha. Bringing this bird into my team and wished I had my favorite Pokemon Zapdos card from 1999 when I was a kid. Overall it’s been a fun and rewarding catch.

First catch and managed to catch an impish nature registeel. Wasted about 16 ultra balls in the process.

Overall this team was good until it reached Wallace, then I had to heavily depend on Ray. Otherwise it’s been a fun experience with my first play through of emerald. Now I’m going to transfer these into Gen 4. A lot of grinding to get the correct natures and getting them all properly leveled. The post game seems like a lot of fun and going to keep playing and catch the rest of the legendaries!

I’ve never played emerald before. I was very impressed with how difficult they made it going up the tower. Then I had the pleasure of pursuing a Jolly nature Ray. I had to restart and hunt for 7 hours throughout 2 days. I was going to settle for adamant or timid but I was in too deep for the jolly. Didn’t help I forgot to leave a space open in my party, so I had to fly to a PC and check the nature. Playing it on the original game, so I could transfer all of my emerald pokemon to Gen 4. Totally worth the effort. And big props for you shiny hunters, you guys are insane. Lol.
