So Glad I Found This Sub!

Yall I’ve been using Claude as a sounding board and proofreader for about two years now. It helps me research and reframe things that block me like that fucking Show Don’t Tell bullshit.

I just wanted to vent and say that it’s really nice to have a sub where I won’t get swarmed and called a hack for using Claude and a rubber duck instead of a rubber duck.

Rubber Duck is just gonna sit there and stare at you.

Claude is gonna point out typos, inconsistencies I missed, possible implications that I may not have thought of.

All that said, I have been considering trying out a drafting experiment to see what it could do but I don’t want to start any habits that might bite me in the ass later. I dunno. I have to think of a concept to try it out with first.

Any of yall done any drafting experiments with ai? How’d it turn out?

Reposting etiquette

So a week or so ago I ended up deleting 2 WIPs because it had been months, MOOOONNNNTHS since I updated them and they only had their first chapters posted.

I’m putting those two WIPs in the parking lot but should I repost what was already posted?

I don’t want to…seem shady or whatever but I do plan on finishing those, just not immediately.

My First Ever Finished Work!

I've struggled to finish WIPs even back before the Show Don't Tell paralysis and I actually managed to finish something this week!

A fucked up nightmare I had (texas chainsaw massacre + backrooms) this weekend was apparently what I needed? I started telling the husbeast about it and he handed my The Good Drafting Notebook and The Good Drafting Pen lol

It's only a little 900 word oneshot but dammit it's a finished 900 word oneshot!

Agatha has found herself in a very strange manor filled with horrors in the Louisiana Bayou.

Mind the tags but most of it's only referenced.

Long Lost Heirloom Pothos

(Sad story ahead; I’ve kind of been wanting to get this out for a while now)

My mother loved pothos and had one on my father funeral arrangement that we all took a clipping from to propagate.

Years later I inherited my mother’s pothos.

I had them both for a few years but then several moves and just general life chaos killed them.

I know I’ll never get those back but I was thinking of looking into a “specialty” variety. Now that I’m addicted to plants again, I can devote a lot of care to a special project plant.

Any recommendations for unique pothos?
