Sound off. Things have been a little chaotic on our end lately. But the yard has been even more so.

More chaotic drivers coming out of the new problem solve area. Flying 16 mph through the bypass, when it clearly says stick to 5.
I don’t want any collisions due to impatience. But I get that you wanna get out there. Slow down so we can track you before you hit another car leaving a pod.

App problems, that your driver support teams are supposed to be solving. We cannot. We wish we could, and solve it as we can, but that’s a whole entire different department. Yell at them, not us.

We have a great crew most of the time. We are not the source of your inconvenience.

But, we are a caring dispatch crew, so if you’re amenable to it, we will get you out and happy as soon as possible.

But, feedback is appreciated. Because things are only getting more intense, and I want to know how to better assist you.

I work at the DPD2 facility, and am relatively often on the dispatch teams outside to greet our Flex Drivers, and guide them in safely for both your sake as well as our associates.

A few of us follow this particular subreddit to basically take notes, and find ways to improve the overall experience. Meeting the metrics, while getting you in and out ontime.

When I first took on this role a year and a half and some spare change ago, it was absolutely chaos. Fighting, arguments, fist fights, etc. It has been streamlined away from that for the most part since then, and I was happy to play a part in that for all of our sakes.

Some of you DPD2 flex shift acquirers have become friends we are happy to see and interact with, and more than 12 have become first name associations with myself. One even gave me a ride home when they were overbooked, when I was allowed to leave early from shift. Happy coincidence that! Free ride home for me, and she got paid for just showing up on time.

That all being said, a heads up. Things are changing again in the structure of DPD2’s rule sets. It occurs each time they install new managers to oversee it. So this might change your game plans depending upon the day of the week.

I’ll get to those changes later, as I can.

And I’ve heard about how difficult VOR3 can be, thanks to you speaking up here. Thank you for that.

Regardless, I’m here to listen to feedback, and see what I can do. I have limited authority, but I have some influence. I’ll do what I can.

Most of yall are amazing people these days, but the BS drains on us all. So I’ll first potential improvements to the appropriate forks who get it done.

Try to show up early. The “campers” out in the streets are messing up our metrics, so we wind up becoming more cutthroat.
Just show up on time. There’s a 5 minute window at this site.

Get in, get it done.
