hello fellow seekers,

i am relatively new to the community, and i've been going through "Aliens in America: Conspiracy Cultures from Outerspace to Cyberspace" by Jodi Dean. I like it very much and i reccomend it, but it is a bit dated.

i was wondering if anyone would have suggestions on books that give a more current, scientific and/or sociological overview of the our central phenomenon of "abduction". I am also very much wondering what is the actual role of hermetism in all this, as i actually come from that stand-point.

i think i am aware of the problems embedded in my queries but i am sure a lot of people have done great, precise and respectable work in these regards.
