Has anyone in the public sector experienced a botched redundancy recently?

A lot of people at my former workplace were caught up in a redundancy consultation process, but from what I experienced, I have serious concerns about whether the consultation was genuine or just a formality.

Has anyone been through something similar and challenged the process? Did you take it to the Fair Work Commission or even to court? What was the outcome?

I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences, especially if you successfully challenged a redundancy or felt the process wasn’t handled properly.
