HI all, My daughter is 11 (rising 6th grader) and auditioning for Beetlejuice Jr at a summer camp production. She usually does youth theater at the community center so her skills are not well honed yet. To help with this she is attending a performing arts studio and educational theater this summer for camp but needs to audition acapella with a 16-measure, or a 1-minute  equivalent, memorized song from a musical theatre show of a similar style.

I'm at a bit of a loss for songs options. They said she can do a song from the show, but I've always heard that's a faux pas.

She kind of wants to do When He Sees Me from Waitress, I'm not sure it'll work for this purpose
