To the cute tall white boy with pretty blue eyes who left your Fuji Film camera in the fitting room of Levi’s in SoHo earlier today:

Felt like we were supposed to meet for a reason - I was so hungover so I couldn’t fully process our conversation but I thought you were so cute and I loved your little Spider-Man comment when you first approached. I know im sending this message out into the oblivion so you’ll prob never see this lmaooooo .. I wanted to ask for your number but you already left and turned the corner when I realized I should’ve.

Anyways, if you see this and you thought I was cute too pls lmk 😭 i would love to see you again

If you have a gf / wife / bf / husband / partner I apologize LMAO you’re beautiful and wish you the best in life

Just got PIP’d - if I opt out will it be harder to find a new job versus opting in?

basically just found out I failed my coaching plan and am put on PIP. I have 5 business days to decide to opt in or opt out.

I’ve already updated my resume and started applying externally, and after talking to people and doing research I’m leaning towards opting out - I’d receive 60 days pay while not working and then 12 weeks of severance afterwards.

My question is - I noticed that some of the job apps ask “have you been involuntary terminated in the past”, which obviously I’d have to check yes to after I accept (right now I don’t have to technically so I’m applying as much as I can). In the future when I do have to hit yes, will that automatically disqualify my application? Or decrease my chances significantly?

And thinking about that led to another thought. For professional development reasons, would it look better to opt in to the 60 day PIP, find a job within the 60 days and QUIT the company versus taking the severance? (Which doesn’t that mean getting fired?)

Any advice would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

And for a bit of context if anyone is curious - I went to school for marketing and this position is in underwriting. It was a bad job fit from the start, but it’s only the technical skills that aren’t a fit .. according to my manager. I’ve been dying to leave anyways so I take this as a sign from the universe to spread my wings.

FORA - Corporate roles?

Hi all,

I’m sure many of you have heard of FORA either working as an advisor or seen them on an ad (travel agency) and I am curious if anyone works corporate for them. They have some roles online that intrigue me (currently 24F, working finance at a bank) and have been thinking about making a switch into something more entrepreneurial. FORA offers an almost too good to be true program (linked below, job would be in their NYC office and they’re offering $90k+ salary + equity, and unlimited time off??) and I can’t seem to find anyone online who’s actually gone through the program before.

I have an upcoming zoom call with a FORA employee for becoming an advisor (considering it, thinking about asking them too)

So if anyone has any opinions/thoughts on either working corporate for FORA (details on this exact program would be amazing) or becoming an advisor I would greatly appreciate it!! Thank you!

Bird has been screaming at my cats for hours at a time for DAYS.. what does it want?

Genuinely confused - this small little birdie has been screaming at my cats from outside for a few days now. It’ll even come very close, almost inside to almost taunt or tease them. When my cats or I do go outside to get closer, it’ll hop onto the nearby tree and scream from there. Anyone have any clue what this bird got against my babies lol?

Is this mold?

Stayed at an Airbnb for two nights. First thing I noticed was how mildew-y the air smelled, like wet old towel. Tried to open windows to air it out a bit.

Noticed above the shower there were speckles of black - could this be mold? I’m not an expert so I can’t really tell..

And if so - think this is reasonable enough of a reason to ask for a semi refund from Airbnb maybe..? My friend who has a sensitive respiratory system said she feels like the mildew made her feel sick and congested.. not sure if that’s actually possible tho.

Thanks in advance!
